Centenary bank chief survives acid attack

Centenary Bank chief manager corporate services, Mr. Patrick Katantazi on Tuesday evening survived an accid attack by unknown assailants.

The attack has been confirmed by both Centenary bank management and police.

“Centenary bank learned of the unfortunate occurrence yesterday Tuesday 28th September 2021, in which our Chief Manager Corporate services, Mr. Patrick Katantazi was attacked using a harmful liquid substance by unknown assailants” reads the Centenary bank statement in parts.

According to the centenary bank management, Patrick is receiving the required medical attention and he is in a stable condition.

Consequently, investigations by Uganda police force are ongoing to ensure that the culprits are brought to book.

The Kampala metropolitan police deputy spokesperson Luke Oweyesigyire said the incident occurred on Tuesday at around 5pm, in Makindye division, Kampala.

He said the victim was rushed to Nsambya hospital before the police arrived at the crime scene.
