President Museveni meets Orthodox Church leaders

Uganda’s president His excellence Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni on Wednesday met Uganda Orthodox Church leaders at State House Entebbe.

The Orthodox leaders were led by Archbishop Makarios of Nairobi and care taker of the Holy Metropolis of Kampala and All Uganda.

Details of the meeting were not disclosed but sources revealed that among what was discussed included the slated visit of HIs beatitude Theodoros II Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa.

His beatitude is expected to visit Uganda after the forty days for memorial service as a traditional of the Orthodox Church.

It should be recalled that the Orthodox Church archbishop for Kampala and All Uganda Metropolitan Jonah Lwanga died on 5th, September, 2021 from Athens, Greece where he had gone for official duties
