Boda boda operators commit to work with police to fight crime

Boda boda operators in Iganga district have applauded police for fighting crime in the district hence committing to work with the force to have them eradicated.

During a meeting between police and the boda boda operators. The Ignaga district police commander Kenneth Muhairwe revealed that crimes attached to boda boda theft and murders dropped ever since curfew was introduced.

Muhairwe urged boda boda operators to be law abiding citizens and to always cooperate with police to further reduce or eradicate crimes in the district.

“We found it necessary to dialogues with boda boda operators since boda bodas are in every corner of the country thus useful in networking and fighting crime.” Said Muhairwe

The Boda boda operators accepted security’s request to assist police in the fight to reduce crimes in the area.

However, boda boda operators exhibited dismay with the way police mishandles them in case they are in the wrong but Police assured them that those minor issues will be sorted out and that those with boda bodas at the police will be handed back to the owners with caution never to do it again.
