Renowned DJ and media personality beat all nominees in the category of Best VJ/DJ of the year in the just concluded VIGA awards to take the accolade home.
DJ. Bantam has for long been one of the best club, events, radio and television DJs in the country and thus seen the industry grow from grass to grace.
DJ. BANTAM PROFILE
DJ. Bantam was born in a Christian family and raised by a single mother in Rubaga Division – Kampala. He comes from a humble background his mother the Late Jane Naggayi was a Church Choir Mistress (Trainer) and Music composer whose songs are currently sung in several churches in Uganda today.
DJ Bantam is a long time stake holder in the Music Industry of Uganda, active since 1997 to date. He Worked at Little Flowers (Obligatto) as main House DJ, worked at the Former Park View on Luwum Street, DV8 (formerly at William Street, Main DJ. at former Volts Club ( Entebbe rd), Main DJ. at Vogue Dicotheque (Entebbe – Nkumba University) , worked with Prime Sounds as the Main DJ. and many others.
DJ. Bantam was the first manager of BOBI WINE – under the fire Base Crew which had original members; Master Parrot, Buchaman , Black Boy and Bobi wine himself.
He is the brain behind many successful and new musicians in Uganda today.
He is a very resourceful brain who has seen the urban evolvement of the music industry in Uganda both secular and Gospel.
He worked with STV (currently Gugugudde Tv) as a Presenter.
Worked with ATV ( Apex TV) as the Head Of Transmission and Music Director , Worked with KSTV as the Head Of Transmission and Music Director.
DJ. Bantam currently works with C.O.U. Family Tv as the Head Of Transmission and Music Director and Presenter at 102.5 TIGER FM since 2009 to date. He is among the highly respected Music Analysts of this generation with a high sense of maturity.
DJ. Bantam is also a renowned Media Consultant in Kampala for 8 TV Stations and 3 Radio Stations Upcountry. He also boasts of having mentored many media personalities in the media industry today.
