Opposition Forum for Democratic Change FDC has sacked the Kira Municipality Member of Parliament and party spokesperson Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda from the position of the Party Chief Whip in parliament.
In the letter dated 7th, August, 2023 addressed to the Speaker of Parliament signed by the party Secretary General Hon. Nathan Nandala Mafabi Hon. Seemujju has been replaced by Hon. Yusuf Nsibambi, the Mawokota South legislator.
“In accordance with section 6(1), the party hereby appoints Hon. Yusuf Nsibambi as party Whip of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) to replace Hon. Ssemujju Ibrahim Nganda.
In the same vein, we hereby withdraw Hon. Ssemujju Ibrahim Nganda as the party whip with immediate effect” reads a letter in parts.
This comes at the time when disagreements continues to escalate in the party between the party headquarters headed by the party president Hon. Eng. Patrick Amuriat Oboi, party secretay general Hon. Nathan Nandala Mafabi and the Katonga faction headed by Dr. Kiiza Besigye, Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago and Hon . Ssemujju Ibrahim Nganda
