Apostle Grace Lubega and his team clapped their way into the history books for a record breaking 3hours, 16 minutes and 1 second. This record attempt has now been officially confirmed by the Guinness World Records.
Much speculation was raised as to why Apostle Grace and his team took on this challenge. Opinions on social media and various platforms were divided with some claiming that this was a self-promoting agenda while others who were less inclined to bias looked to the reason for the event itself captured in the event name as ‘Clap for Jesus.’
The spirit of this record attempt was well explained by Apostle Grace Lubega, the Vision Bearer of Phaneroo Ministries International, a dynamic generation impacting ministry whose vision is to transform nations with the Word of God. He said, “if there’s anything we can do to give glory to God, we will do it. If someone ever asks what the longest applause in history was for, let them discover it was for Jesus.”
On that historical Sunday afternoon, the team numbering at least a thousand wrote history one clap at a time. In the UMA showgrounds parking lot, thousands more cheered them on, dancing, singing, praying, and worshipping from the designated overflow area for non-participants. Across the world, several thousands in the Manifest centres also joined in online via the Phaneroo YouTube channel and Manifest Television for the same purpose of exalting God.
As this achievement sinks in, it is apt and judicious to reflect on John 3:16 (AMP) – For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Saviour] shall not perish but have eternal life.

BEFORE, THE RECORD BREAKING
This momentous achievement dubbed “Clap for Jesus” took place on July 30th at the UMA multipurpose hall as Phaneroo marked their 9th anniversary. Phaneroo, known for its vibrant and energetic gatherings, brought together thousands of enthusiastic attendees from all corners. The fervour and anticipation leading up to the record-breaking attempt were palpable, as attendees eagerly awaited the opportunity to show their heartfelt appreciation for the organisation’s inspirational teachings and spiritual guidance.
The convention reached it’s crescendo, the anticipation reached a fever pitch when the record attempt was officially announced. With a mix of anticipation and excitement, the participants prepared themselves for the challenge ahead, fully aware of the significance of their collective endeavour.
With adrenaline coursing through their veins, the participants fervently clapped their hands, matching the rhythm of their thunderous hearts. The time they were seemed to stand still as minutes turned into hours. Supporters outside the hall cheered on the participants, adding to the atmosphere of celebration and unity.
After an awe-inspiring 3 hours and 16 minutes of continuous applause, the moment of triumph arrived. The Guinness World Record adjudicators officially confirmed that Phaneroo had set a new record, surpassing the previous one which stood at 2 hours and 5 minutes.
The hall erupted with joy as tears of triumph and elation flowed freely. The sense of accomplishment and unity was overwhelming, resonating deeply with each participant and reinforcing the power of collective effort.
It underscores the organization’s ability to bring together people from diverse backgrounds under a shared sense of purpose, forging bonds that transcend borders and barriers.
