Hajji Ismael Badogi together with Office of the National Chairman ONC Boss Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo have embarked on the campaign of changing lives in all aspects in Kigulu North through Skilling thousands and empowering them with skilling tools ,food and hand hoes to support farming projects at the launch of Nabitende Development Association (NADA)
Nabitende Development Association that is composed of both old and youthful men and women was started in March 2023 with an aim of bringing locals together in terms of development by involving in different activities especially farming and vocational skilling.
The association that started small has now broaden with now having a total number of members of 1000. Its major focus is on changing life by empowering its members in economic activities to boost their earnings, with the aim of their faster development.
The members carry the message of supporting each other door to door at village level and raise funds which has enabled them start Skilling program that have benefited over 120 women, young girls mostly dropouts and young mothers .
In channels of seeking support from government , through their patron Hajji Ismael Badoghi, at the launch of the association , the office of the national chairman that is headed by Hajjat Namyalo reached out to village association with a variety of tools to use in their developmental programs ,including food ,hand hoes, hair dressing tools ,spraying pumps, popcorn machines among others.
The chairperson of Nabitende Development association Kanene Tonny thanked the office of the national chairman for helping them walk the talk of changing lives by empowering the youth through Skilling programs .
“Mama you have supported our call, we want to change lives by empowering the young mothers and youth. We want to reduce the unemployment levels at our village but we have been lacking the necessary tools” said Kinene
Kanene said that Nabitende village is highly challenged by early pregnancy cases as a result of poverty, unemployment and illiteracy levels.
“Now that we have gotten what we have been lacking, our major purpose as NADA is to train the groups using the tools so that they can be able to walk a journey of changing lives by themselves. The unemployed young mother’s and boys will be trained in different skills and we assure the president things will not be the same like before ,we thank the president so much for this support” said Kinene
Hajjat Namyalo has lauded the groups for exercising unity, group work and promised to give them maximum support including starting for the youths a welding workshop and a washing bay with the aim of supporting the youths of Nabitende village.
“We shall not take this unity for granted. This is what president Museveni has been yarning for always. Groups can be supported than an individual besides what we have delivered today we are to add on more like welding machines for the groups in welding and washing bay for the car washmen .
Many programs have been designed by government to support its people but they have been failed by corrupt officials and that’s why we are here as the president’s hand. The office of the national chairman shall make sure that supported groups give a good pictures towards the President’s target of changing everyone’s life deep in the grassroots”said Namyalo
Namyalo also said as it’s time to walk the talk by fulfilling the NRM manifesto
“The NRM manifesto clearly states everything concerning life changing ,this means president loves to see everyone benefit but the enemies of development, channel what is meant for the local people to themselves which makes people hate the government.We are here and it’s time to walk the president’s talk sawa yabikolwa” said Namyalo
Former FDC and ANT candidate who crossed to NRM and patron of Nabitende development association, hajji Ismael Badogi said, president Museveni has done whatever it takes to change lives of the common people ,but this has been fought by politicians who front self-interests. He thus lauded hajjat Namyalo for the good work done towards supporting the youth all over the country.
Commenting on what made him cross to NRM, Badogi said that for over 20 years he has been in Fdc nothing has changed yet people need good services. He thus joined NRM government to hunt for the best for his people of Kigulu north.
The Iganga NRM chairperson Hajji Walubi urged the beneficiaries of Nabitende to properly use the tools given to them by president museveni.
