Uganda People’s Congress (UPC) party says the formation of various political alliances with the aim of taking power have yielded nothing in the country.
This follows the formation of another alliance on Tuesday called “holy alliance” made up of Conservative Party (CP) National Economic Empowerment Dialogue (NEED), JEEMA, and DP Bloc which UPC says is a wastage of time because such alliances are formed just to serve the interests of a few individuals.

He says various political alliances have been formed such as, the Democratic alliance (TDA), Peoples front for Transition (PFT), United forces of change (UFC) among others but all these have impacted nothing to make reforms.
Speaking to the media at party headquarters Kampala, the party head of media and communications Faizo Muzeyi said that is why UPC will never join any political alliances because as a party, they have an ideology to follow and they never approach them.
UPC also sent its heartfelt condolences to the Kabaka of Buganda Kingdom and the Ndiga clan in general for the brutal murder of its head Lwomwa Eng.Daniel Bbosa.
The now fallen Lwomwa Eng. Daniel Bbosa was murdered in Lungujja by motorbike assassins on Sunday 25th February 2024, at the gate of his home.
UPC applauded the timely intervention and vigilance of the Lungujja residents who daringly took on the assailants. However, add that once assailants are apprehended, the evidence should be dearly protected in order to get to the root causes of such type of crimes.
Faizo also called for extra specialized training to be more efficient, effective and professional at their work.
“The police force requires extra specialized training to be more efficient, effective and professional at their work. Incorporating police’s work with modern technologies is very paramount especially in detecting and responding to crimes in real-time as well as records keeping which can facilitate quick reference to cases whenever they are needed. Ultimately, the welfare of Uganda Police Force needs to be enhanced. They need better accommodation and pay as well as reduced workloads as per United Nations (UN) police officer-to-population ratio recommendation of 1-450, which we are yet to achieve.” Said Faizo

UPC calls upon all members and the entire electorate base of Dokolo district to go check and confirm their electoral particulars in the ongoing activity of the display of Voters Register for the by election of Dokolo district Woman legislator.
“As we plan for the nomination of our candidate, Comrade Sarah Aguti Nyangkori for the Dokolo Woman Member of Parliament on 11 th – 12 th March 2024, UPC calls upon all members and the entire electorate base to go check and confirm their electoral particulars in the ongoing activity of the display of Voters Register at the polling stations which started on 21 st February, 2024 and ending Friday 1 st March 2024. This activity is very paramount as it helps the voter correct their details (if any) and knowing your right polling station. So, let us ensure participating in all electoral activities leading to the Dokolo by-elections.” Said Faizo
