The House of Bishops of the Church of Uganda sitting at Lweza Training and Conference Center on Wednesday elected Rev Can Wilson Kisekka, Rev.Can. Alfred Muhoozi to be considered for the position of Diocesan Bishops;

Rev Canon Alfred Muhoozi, elected 3rd Bishop of North Ankole Diocese. Consecration and enthronement has been scheduled for 26th May 2024 at Emmanuel Cathedral Rushere.
He was born on 9th October 1972.
He is currently the Archdeacon of Kinoni Archdeaconry in North Ankole Diocese.
He is married to Mrs. Molly Muhoozi and God has blessed them with four children and two grandchildren.

Rev Can Muhoozi will succeed Bishop Stephen Namanya who retires on May 26, 2024, when he clocks the mandatory retirement age.
Rev Canon Wilson Kisekka, elected 4th Bishop of Luwero Diocese. Consecration and enthronement has been scheduled for Sunday 24th March 2024 at St Mark Cathedral Luwero.
He was born on 12th October 1970.
He is married to Mrs. Racheal Milly Nakayanga and God has blessed them with Children.
Kisekka comes into take helm of the diocese which has been under Rtd Bishop of Mukono Diocese James Williams Ssebagala since July 18, 2023, when Archbishop Samuel Kaziimba made the appointment for the caretaker role as a substantial bishop is found.
The appointment of Emeritus Bishop Ssebagala as caretaker came after the revocation of then-Luweero bishop-elect, Rev Can Godfrey Kasana on July 9, 2023, which caused conflicts within the diocese.
A section of Christians opposed to the revocation process of Rev Can Godfrey Kasana had planned to block the ceremony at St Mark Cathedral Luweero.
