The 1st National Vice Chairperson of the National Resistance Movement NRM Al-hajji Moses Kigongo has called for reconciliation, peace, unity and dialogue among Ugandans especially politicians irrespective of their political parties’ allegiance.
Al-hajji Moses Kigongo made the remarks while attending the Democratic Party DP’s Iftar Dinner and Duwa prayers that took place at their Headquarters on Balintuma Road, Lubaga division, Kampala.
Kigongo said its high time that politicians understand that Ugandans have the same blood and are all created by Allah / God irrespective of their political affiliation, tribe or religion and therefore they should advocate for reconciliation, unity and dialogue among all as a way of solving any stalemates as opposed to advancing hate and division.
He cautioned politicians that hell is waiting for those advancing hate, divisionism and character assignation thus calling upon them to embrace dialogue to solve all the impasse and follow the religion in its righteousness for the country’s development.
In his remarks the Democratic Party Vice president Hon. Fred Mukasa Mbidde who thanked Muslim for fasting and called for unity, decried the bad state of roads in Uganda.
Mbidde urged government to prioritize the road infrastructure construction as opposed to unprofessional repairs on the roads constructed by the past regimes.
He also thanked Muslims for honoring their invitation and turning up in large numbers for their Iftar dinner adding that DP has a long standing relationship with Islam religion.
