Bishop Kibuuka opens up Busoga EOC coordination Church, tips them on Agribusiness

The presiding Bishop for Evangelical Orthodox Church in Uganda, Jacinto Kibuuka on Sunday opened up a new church Prayer Centre in Gendwa, Bumanya Sub County, Kaliro district, which will be the point of coordination of all EOC churches in Busoga region.

The newly opened up EOC prayer Centre is the third one to be established in Kaliro district adding to the many prayer centers so far opened up in various districts of Uganda including Kampala, Wakiso, Kibuku, Kiryandongo, Mpigi, Mubende, Moyo, Namutumba, Kasese, Katakwi, Soroti, Serere, Kumi, Mbale, Buyende, Palisa, Namalemba, Busia and Kibaale.

While opening up the new coordinating Prayer Centre, Bishop Kibuuka also appointed Deacon Mugoda Gyoviira, the administrator which work he will do with the council of the church leaders.

Bishop Kibuuka said the coordinating center is charged with carrying out duties of pastoral care of the souls, economic empowerment especially through engaging in agribusiness, spiritual nourishment, deliverance and healing prayers among others.

Bishop Kibuuka in his homily urged the congregation to always engage in money generating activities like commercial agricultural and animal farming in additional to other work to enable them meet their basic needs including educating their children as opposed to engaging in non-beneficial activities like drinking and idol talks in trading centers.

Bishop Kibuuka who earlier empowered them with piglets and turkeys also promised to give them seeds for water melon as addition in boosting their efforts in agribusiness.

He further urged the hundreds of congregants who included the political leaders from village to district level to embrace and actively participate in the parish development model program in order to boost their income.  

The congregation applauded the Evangelical Orthodox Church leadership for always considering their development spiritually, socially and economically.
