JEEMA’s Asiimwe Ronald wins Guild Elections at Bishop Stuart University in Mbarara

By Hannah Marion Namukasa

JEEMA’s Asiimwe Ronald has today been declared as the winner of a hotly contested guild presidential race at Bishop Stuart University in Mbarara with 691 votes.

Despite the heavy downpour, students were not deterred from casting  their votes in favour of their candidates.

The race had four Candidates, Asiimwe Ronald (JEEMA) 691 Votes, Elijah Rukeira Bashaija (FDC) 495 votes , Agaba Ian (Independent) 230 votes and Tusiime Elly (Independent) 130 Votes.

The JEEMA head of institutions, Abdalla Tiff Mukasa, said they have spent sleepless nights in Mbarara strategizing and he’s not surprised that victory has come their way.

“I’m not surprised by this victory, we have spent sleepless nights planning and strategizing for this victory, we have worked for it” I want to thank the students for entrusting our Candidate with such responsibilities, Abdalla Tiff added.

This is the second time JEEMA party is participating in BSU guild elections after fronting Fortunate Atwijukire in  last year’s election where they conceded defeat.

JEEMA has registered  guild victories from  Bishop Stuart University  and two from Metropolitan International University in Kisoro and Mbarara Campuses.
