Video: Business Man Survives Murder in Kabawo, Nateete Division police

The territorial police in Nateete are investigating an incident of attempted murder that occurred on the evening of May 13th, 2024, at approximately 8:00 PM, at Nateete ku taano.

According to ASP Luke Owoyesigyire Deputy Public Relations officer Kampala Metropolitan Police, It is alleged that Mr. Turyamuhaki Sam, a 55-year-old businessperson and resident of Kabawo Zone, Lubaga Division, Kampala District, fell victim to a vicious attack while conducting a routine financial transaction at Bashir Grain Millers.

According to Mr. Turyamuhaki’s account, while verifying a sum of 8 million Ugandan Shillings handed to him by Mr. Bashir, an individual known as Kiiza Ashiraf, an employee at the mill, unexpectedly entered the office carrying a sack. In a terrifying turn of events, Kiiza brandished a machete and a hammer, demanding the money.

A struggle ensued, resulting in Mr. Turyamuhaki sustaining severe head injuries from the assailant’s weapons. Fortunately, with the assistance of bystanders, the attacker was subdued, allowing Mr. Turyamuhaki to receive prompt medical attention.

The police were informed about the incident and responded. Exhibits, including the weapons used in the assault such as the hammer and pangar, were recovered. Additionally, CCTV footage from the scene has been obtained to aid in the ongoing investigation. It is alleged that the assailant fled the scene and is currently on the run, and all efforts are being made to apprehend him.
