In a tragic incident at the Buyinja stage in Katabi Town Council, a group of thieves broke into a car parking lot, leaving the parking attendant, Byamugisha Rowland, dead.

Byamugisha, 40, had worked for many years as a parking attendant, with his daytime duties primarily at the Nkumba Bukolwa dumping site. His body has been taken to Mulago Hospital by Entebbe police for further investigation.

Local residents, led by Chairman Peter Mponye, have expressed their concerns over the lack of regulation by the Katabi Town Council, particularly when it comes to controlling noise pollution at night. They believe this could be a contributing factor to such criminal activities.

The thieves also stole more than five bodabodas (motorcycles), causing distress among the owners who are now left in anguish. The community has called for immediate action to improve security and address the escalating crime in the area.
