Dokolo: Later in Dokolo after the Amolatar rally, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni again emphasized the distinction between infrastructure development and household wealth creation.

He announced that the government would upgrade the road from Dokolo to Namasale, cutting direct mileage to Kampala.
“This is all dongo lobo—roads, schools, electricity. But the real battle is lonyo. Even in Baralege where I live, I may not have tarmac roads, but I have wealth-cows, coffee, fruits. That is what we want for every homestead: wealth for food and income.”

The President illustrated the impact of the PDM with testimonies of local farmers like Apio Piki of Lira District, who turned a small investment in maize into millions of shillings and expanded into livestock.

“She told me she had never handled one million shillings in her life, yet now through farming she has bought land and animals. This is what PDM is about, empowering households to move into the money economy.”

At both rallies, Hamson Obua, the NRM Vice Chairperson for Northern Uganda, and Richard Todwong, the NRM Secretary General, hailed the President for bringing peace and socio-economic development to the region, noting that the NRM government’s track record of transformation continues to inspire hope and confidence among the people.

The President will continue his campaign in other districts of the Lango Sub-region tomorrow, rallying communities to consolidate the peace and development achieved under NRM while embracing wealth creation as the surest path to prosperity.
