President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Presidential Candidate, has announced a series of major development projects for Rwampara District, focusing on roads, agriculture, health, education and wealth creation. He made the commitments during an NRM presidential campaign rally at Bujaga Playgrounds in Rwampara District.

President Museveni outlined several tarmac road projects planned for implementation, including the Ruti–Mwizi–Kabuyanda–Kikagati Road and the Nyakiraguju–Rugamba–Rwoho–Rukoni–Kitwe–Mirama Hill Road, which will enhance connectivity across the district and improve business accessibility and service delivery.

Museveni also pledged to establish a water irrigation scheme for the district to boost agricultural productivity. He urged residents to protect wetlands, emphasizing their role in water conservation for irrigation and environmental sustainability.
In the health sector, the President revealed plans to upgrade one of Rwampara’s Health Center IVs to a General Hospital in the next term. He highlighted the district’s progress, noting that all sub-counties now have Health Center IIIs, with some hosting Health Center IVs.

President Museveni further promised to enhance education programs and strengthen ongoing wealth creation initiatives. He encouraged residents to embrace government programs aimed at poverty reduction and improved household incomes. He highlighted viable enterprises under the 4-Acre Model, including poultry, fruit growing, fish farming, piggery, and dairy farming—especially suitable for small landholders.
He issued a stern warning to officials mishandling the Parish Development Model (PDM) by demanding collateral or imposing illegal conditions, ordering such practices to stop immediately.

Addressing employment opportunities, Museveni guided the electorate on job creation through commercial agriculture, industrial growth, service sector expansion, and skilling initiatives, citing successes from the Presidential Industrial Skilling Hubs.
The NRM candidate also requested independent NRM-leaning candidates in Rwampara to step aside and pursue lawful avenues if they believe irregularities occurred during the party primaries. He assured support where evidence of rigging or illegal practices is proven.

Museveni concluded by assuring the people of Rwampara of continued peace and stability, emphasizing unity as a foundation for development and socio-economic transformation.
The First Lady, Maama Janet Kataaha Museveni, called on residents to intensify grassroots mobilization for the NRM to ensure a massive voter turnout on election day.
NRM Vice Chairperson for Western Uganda, Jornad Asiimwe, pledged guidance on modern agricultural practices to boost productivity.
The Rwampara District NRM Chairperson, Mutima Gordon, presented the district status report during the event.
