Police in Nsangi have shot dead three suspected criminals during an operation conducted on December 1, 2025.
The incident occurred early this morning in Kaboja A, Kasenge Parish, Kyengera Town Council, Wakiso District.

Preliminary reports indicate that the suspects were armed with knives, breaking tools, toy guns, and other items. According to Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Racheal Kawala, two of the suspects died on the spot, while the third succumbed to his injuries while being transported to Mulago National Referral Hospital.
Kawala further revealed that one of the suspects was found in possession of suspected forged documents, including a Uganda Police warrant card (No. 38468) bearing the name Byaruhanga Moses, with the rank of Senior Traffic Sergeant (STSJ), issued in 2016. A National ID in the name of Kachingwa Moses was also recovered.

The bodies of the three deceased have been taken to the City Mortuary in Mulago for postmortem examination.
Authorities say the joint security team had been trailing the alleged robbers from Kasenge, where they were reportedly following a businesswoman with the intention of stealing from her.
