NETA–Uganda Engages Turkish Logistics Firm to Tackle Trade Barriers

By Kabuye Ronald

The National Entrepreneurs and Traders Association Uganda (NETA–Uganda) has initiated strategic talks with Turkish logistics firm Exp-Bo Dis Ticaret Limited Sirketi in a move aimed at easing persistent logistics challenges faced by Ugandan traders engaged in import and export business with Turkey.

The discussions, held at NETA–Uganda’s headquarters in Kampala, focused on streamlining trade processes and improving coordination between Ugandan entrepreneurs and their Turkish counterparts.

NETA–Uganda, a national umbrella body dedicated to representing, uniting, and empowering entrepreneurs and traders across the country, emphasized that the partnership is part of its broader mission to enhance trade efficiency through advocacy, capacity building, and strategic alliances.

Speaking after the meeting, NETA–Uganda National Chairperson Thadeus Musoke Nagenda said the engagement is expected to directly address bottlenecks that have long hindered smooth business operations between the two countries.

“Such coordination and collaboration facilitate business flow in the country but also encourage investors to invest into the country,” Nagenda noted.

Founder of Exp-Bo Dis Ticaret Limited Sirketi, Cem Bozkaya, expressed appreciation for what he described as a productive and forward-looking meeting. He pledged commitment to implementing the agreed resolutions aimed at improving logistics systems and strengthening bilateral trade ties.

The partnership signals a growing effort by Ugandan trade bodies to forge international collaborations that can unlock new opportunities and reduce operational challenges for local entrepreneurs operating in global markets.
