Rev. Fr. Alex Semogerere, the School Chaplain of Uganda Martyrs Nursery and Primary School, has urged students and teachers to use the Lent period as a time to forgive all those who may have wronged them.

He made the remarks during the school’s Easter Fun Day 2026 celebrations, where students and teachers gathered to mark the occasion with joy and excitement. In his Easter message, Rev. Semogerere encouraged students to maintain the good hearts and morals they practiced during Lent, noting that these values symbolize God’s love. He also emphasized the importance of happiness, urging them to make others smile each day as a way of truly celebrating the season.

The event featured a variety of fun activities, including bouncing castles, train rides, swimming, and plenty of refreshments, all of which the students thoroughly enjoyed.

In an emotional moment, the Head Teacher, Elizabeth Nakayima, expressed tears of joy as she thanked parents for entrusting the school with their children. She also encouraged them to continue supporting the school, describing Uganda Martyrs Nursery and Primary School as a strong academic institution in Uganda. Nakayima further urged parents to take good care of their children during the Easter holidays.
