Hundreds of Rotarians from different clubs gathered at Emperor Heights Hotel in Kisubi to witness the installation of the new President of the Rotary Club of Bwebajja.

The hotel was filled with elegantly dressed men and women clad in maroon-themed outfits, adding glamour to the memorable ceremony.

The event was graced by the Managing Director of Centenary Bank, Fabian Kasi, alongside former District 9214 Governor Peace Geoffrey Taremwa.

Sylvia Nabakadde officially assumed office as the new President of the Rotary Club of Bwebajja, succeeding outgoing president Hajji Hassan Nyenje.

Nabakadde, who is also an employee of Centenary Bank, pledged to uplift the standards of the club with the support of its members. She also unveiled a strategic three-year development plan running until 2029 aimed at strengthening and expanding the club’s impact in the community.

Speaking at the event, outgoing president Hajji Hassan Nyenje highlighted some of the achievements registered during his tenure. He noted that the club restored hope among students in the community through the donation of scholastic materials and the construction of school structures.

He also cited the organization of mega health camps in Mityana, Katende, and Kasokoso, as well as guidance and counselling sessions for students in different schools.

Fabian Kasi praised the Rotary Club of Bwebajja for its contribution to community development and commended Sylvia Nabakadde for being a hardworking employee at Centenary Bank.

He encouraged her to maintain the same commitment in her new leadership role.

“For us at the bank, whenever one of us attains a higher level of leadership, we always offer support. Today, we are celebrating continuity, not merely a transition from President Hassan to President Sylvia, but how the club can move forward together,” Kasi said.

On behalf of Centenary Bank, Kasi pledged UGX 10 million towards supporting the club and celebrating its continuity.

The ceremony also recognized Rotarians who played significant roles in the club, with several members receiving certificates of appreciation.
