Am going to contest for parliament speaker-ship, Ssemujju Nganda officially declares

Opposition chief whip also Kira Municipality Member of Parliament, Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda, has officially declared that he will contest for parliament speakership in the coming 11th Parliament.

Ssemujju revealed his intentions in a press conference he held at Parliament today morning.

He asserted that once elected he will be a speaker for not only parliament but for all Ugandans.

Ssemujju also revealed that he has already written to all opposition party presidents that have representation in parliament to support his bid since they are mandated to offer better alternative as opposed to cheering the sitting National Resistance Movement (NRM) government.

 Hon. Ssemujju who is also the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) Spokesperson now joins the current speaker Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga and her deputy Jacob Oulanyah to contest for the speakership position in the 11th parliament.
