Final Touches At Speke Resort Convention Centre Munyonyo as Uganda Gears Up To Host NAM, G77 Summits.

Worker’s were making final preparations at the Speke Resort Convention Centre Munyonyo,  the first of it’s kind, where Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) summit, which officially kicks off on Monday next week, January 15 and followed by china G77 summit.

The summit expected to being together 120 heads of state (countries), observers and Uganda is to host over 5,000 delegates.

The Non-aligned Movement summit will be immediately followed by China G77 summit. 

Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia, the chairman Ruparelia group and the founder of the amazing mega project spent the biggest part of Friday afternoon and evening seated at the site to monitor and was massively seen busy attending to all different visitors and clients at the convention centre which has been lit with glittering expensive lamps inside and at the main entrance of the building.

All the delegates are expected to start arriving soon at the expected date and time and all media/Journalists from various stations guided by Uganda media centre by Ofono Opondo allowed to visit, capture and shoot both outside and inside as workers are completely busy and the building will be officially open to visitors today Saturday. 

The structure works started in November 2022 and Dr. Sudhir assured the country that the building would be ready by January 2024 which is 12 months covered.

The project has been undertaken through Dr. Sudhir’s two subsidiaries, Speke hotels and Meera Investment.

The main auditorium has fully capacity of 3,800 to 4,400 delegates.  It has a multipurpose hall, 12 high end conference and breakaways meeting rooms and a floating restaurant that accommodates over 900 delegates. 

The government of Uganda is implementing the joint project through the Uganda Development Corporation (UDC) at 50 to 50 percent per each. 

The Munyonyo resort is seated on over 105 acres of land with other facilities and all together has 476 hotel rooms that including over 54 presidential suites.
