A dramatic incident unfolded early this morning in Kakajo Zone, Kisenyi II Parish, Kampala Central Division, when a man allegedly set fire to his own home in a fit of rage — an act that left over 200 people homeless and property worth millions destroyed.

The suspect, identified only as Denis, reportedly returned home to find his wife, Fiona, in bed with another man. In a moment of fury, Denis is said to have locked the couple inside the house, doused the premises with petrol, and set it ablaze.
Miraculously, Fiona and her lover managed to escape unharmed. However, the fire quickly spread to neighboring homes, reducing entire blocks to ashes. Although no fatalities or injuries were reported, dozens of families were left without shelter or belongings.

Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Patrick Onyango confirmed the incident and stated that a manhunt is underway for Denis, who fled the scene, and for Fiona, who is also wanted to assist in the investigation.
Fire and rescue teams responded swiftly and managed to contain the fire before it could spread further. Onyango urged the public to refrain from taking the law into their own hands and expressed sympathy for those affected by the morning blaze.
