A 27-year-old young lady has taken her on life after money lender sold off her piece of land she had given in as security for a loan of 300,000/= shillings.
Residents of Kajjansi town council Wakiso District have woken up today in great shock as one of their own neighbors took her life at night due to depression after a money lender took her plot of land she bought at 9 million in kajjansi .
According to her mother Nalwadda Hajara, her daughter Sumayiya Nanyanzi has been working from abroad in Jordan for 6years and came back in Uganda recently, Sumayiya after staying in Uganda for a few months, decided to go back abroad despite having enough money, she decided to get a loan of 300,000/= to top up her transport.
Sumayiya later went back to Jordan though she was later deported to Uganda. After her deportation she immediately went to the money lender to pay back her loan. Surprisingly the money lender told Sumayiya that he had sold off the piece of land within a few months back, something that left Sumayiya speechless.
Last night at about 9 pm Sumayiya gave her phone to a friend and told her that she was going to do something unusual, she went into her father’s house, shockingly today morning she was found hanging in her father’s sitting room in her father’s house in Kajjansi .
On Monday morning Entebbe police together with the deceased’s parents took her body for burial in Entebbe mortuary
