Jinja City is set to host the National Entrepreneur and Traders Association, Uganda NETA Market Day, dubbed Quonnect Market Day, on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at Innovation Village, bringing together vendors, manufacturers, entrepreneurs and traders from across the region in a major business and networking exhibition.
The event, which is open to the public at no cost, will provide exhibitors with an opportunity to showcase and sell a wide range of products and services while connecting with potential customers, investors and business partners.
Beyond the business exhibition, Quonnect Market Day will offer a vibrant entertainment and lifestyle experience featuring music performances, shopping, karaoke, dance sessions, a photo booth, a mini food festival, sip-and-paint activities, free makeup services, ear piercing, PlayStation 5 gaming, a tattoo studio, cocktails and other family-friendly attractions.
Speaking ahead of the event, NETA Uganda Chairperson Dr. Thadeus Musoke Nagenda said the exhibition is part of a nationwide market outreach programme that will be rolled out in different districts across Uganda.
According to Dr. Musoke, the initiative is designed to boost traders’ incomes by expanding market opportunities for small businesses and entrepreneurs. He noted that the programme will also provide a platform for vendors who were displaced from roadsides and kiosks following the enforcement of trade order regulations, enabling them to market and sell their products in an organized business environment.
He added that the exhibitions will also link entrepreneurs and traders to potential funding opportunities, business development partners and training programmes aimed at strengthening enterprise growth. The initiative further seeks to promote the Buy Uganda, Build Uganda (BUBU) policy, expand market access for locally made products and strengthen NETA Uganda’s organizational structures across the country.
Organizers have called upon residents of Jinja and neighboring districts to attend the event, support local businesses and take advantage of the networking, learning and entertainment opportunities that Quonnect Market Day offers.
