Until MPs Ssegirinya, Ssewanyana are released, we shall not attend parliament- opposition MPs.

By Kabuye Ronald

Opposition Members of Parliament have vowed not to attend plenary until government presents in court and releases the incarcerated fellow MPs, Muhammad Ssegirinya and Allan Ssewanyana representing Kawempe North and Makindye West.

The decision has been revealed by opposition chief whip John Nambeshe after a meeting with the opposition members of parliament.

The Mps also want the government to set free all supporters who are still rotting in prison and were arrested on account of supporting the opposition.

Joint security forces re-arrested both Ssegirinya and Ssewanyana shortly after they were released from Kigo prison.

The duo has today, afternoon appeared at Masaka Court presided over by grade one magistrate, Grace Wakooli and slapped with more charges of murder hence further remand.

On Tuesday, the MPs walked out of parliament in protest of the manner in which the two MPs were re-arrested

Parliament Speaker Jacob Oulanyah has since condemned the manner in which the MPs were arrested, saying technocrats in government complicate matters for government by the haphazard manner in which policies are implemented
