Police have on Friday morning arrested FDC Presidential flag bearer and party president Eng. Patrick Amuriat Oboi at Bushenyi- Rubirizi board and whisked away at a very high speed unknown destination.
Amuriat was arrested from Kyamuhunga as he was heading to Rubirizi district where he is scheduled to hold his campaign meeting today.
Unconfirmed reports indicate that he is being driven to Mbarara police station.
It is still unclear whether the arrest is connected to Wednesday’s incident where Amuriat evaded arrest in Mbarara.
