Pentecostal pastors condemn ongoing abductions by security forces.

By Kabuye Ronald

Pentecostal pastors under their umbrella body, The National Fellowship for Born Agains and Pentecostal Churches have strongly condemned the ongoing abductions of the Citizens by the security agencies.

The body spokesperson Daniel Kuteesa Waddimba appealed to the security organs to lawful align the suspected wrong doers before the competent courts of law as opposed to abducting, kidnapping and torturing them.

He warned that the continued acts of abducting and torturing people only taint  the security organs in bad images hence creating fear among the public and a vote of no confidence and trust in the organs and the top leadership of the country.

Kuteesa added that such acts may even result into violent and gruesome acts in protest of the unwarranted abduction and torture of innocent people.

The abductees are taken to unknown detention centres with some of them never seen again.

While presenting a statement on the matter in Parliament last week, Odongo revealed that 44 people had been reported kidnapped and 31 of these were yet to be traced.
