Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane helped Liverpool overcome RB Leipzig 2-0 to reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Liverpool travelled to the Puskas Arena suffering a sixth consecutive home defeat in the Premier League, but they have worked hand in hand to win their second leg against the German side RB Leipzig.
Sallah and Mane gave Liverpool a 2-0 lead in the first leg at the same stadium, yet again they’ve been on the score sheet giving the six times champions of the tournament a way through to the last eight.
Liverpool wasted a lot of chances, but Alexander Sorloth hitting the crossbar was the closest chance for the last season’s semi-finalists Leipzig.
Liverpool already had one foot in the quarter finals, but in the last 20 minutes of the game Diogo Jota had a rapid pass to Mohamed Sallah and the Egypt international cutting into the penalty area before finding the bottom of the corner with his left foot.
Divock Origi then made in a brilliant cross for Mane to score a second one as Klopp’s men qualify to the last eight.
