Komamboga bomb blast: president M7 assures the public, the pigs will be defeated, one confirmed dead.

Uganda’s president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has urged the public not fear about the bomb blast incident that happened on Saturday evening at a pork joint, in Komamboga, Kawempe division, Kampala saying that they will get the perpetrators.

According to president Museveni’ tweet one person has been confirmed dead while five were severely injured.

“The Information I have is that three people came and left a package in kaveera which later on exploded, killing one person and injuring five others. It seems to be a terrorist act but we shall get the perpetrators,” President Museveni tweeted

He also said that they will defeat such kind of criminality like they have defeated other criminality committed by pigs.

“The public should not fear, we shall defeat this criminality like we have defeated all the other criminality committed by the pigs who don’t respect life.” Tweeted president Museveni

The president further revealed that police specialists are on the ground investigating the whole incident and will give guidelines on vigilance by the public dealing with the possible terrorists.

It should be noted that The Police at Kampala Metropolitan Police, responded to a serious blast which occurred on the saturday night, at around 9 pm, at Digida eating point, Komamboga, in Kawempe Division, Kampala which left one person dead and several severely injured.

Police spokesperson Fred Enanga urged the public to remain calm, as police establishs the true circumstances surrounding the incident. Adding that any new developments will be communicated in due course.
