Nakwedde, Zake and several NUP supporters sustained injuries on their heads as police and the military dispersed them after stopping them from holding their last campaign rallies.

“The goons are not even ashamed to lay their filthy hands on a woman. They have also brutalized our candidate Hon. Nakwedde Harriet Kafeero! The clock is ticking. They are on borrowed time” Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias  Bobi Wine the president of NUP posted on his official social media platform.

In the same way, Hon Zaake was allegedly beaten by President Museveni’s Special Forces Command (SFC) security detail.

According to an eyewitness’ account, Zaake was trying to drive past the last presidential convoy’s car, before he was cut off and beaten.

This was also condemned by bobi wine “Violence meted out on our leaders in Kayunga. Several severely injured. Hon. @ZaakeFrancis has been badly beaten by SFC soldiers and he’s now currently admitted at a hospital in Jinja. The most critical question to #DictatorMuseveni– if you fear elections, why organise them?”

Earlier in the day, the joint security deployment made of the Army and Police at Bobi Wine’s residence in Magere, Wakiso district allegedly arrested his Gardener, security guard and the youths in the area.
