National Resistance Movement (NRM) candidate and also son to the late former speaker of parliament Jacob Oulanyah, Andrew Ojok Oulanyah emerged the winner of the Omoro County parliamentary seat.
According to the Omoro district returning Officer Moses Kagona garnered the largest number of votes 14,224 out of the 17,454 total votes cast.

Ojok’s closest rival Tolit Simon Okocha of National Unity Platform (NUP) got 1,633 votes.
Independent candidate Terence Odonga got 532 votes,
Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) candidate Justine Odong garnered 529 votes, Jimmy Walter Onen, independent got 88 votes and Alliance For National Transformation (ANT) candidate Oscar Kizza got 63 votes.
A total of 385 votes cast were rejected as invalid ballots while spoilt ballot papers were 10.
Ojok will now replace his late father Jacob Oulanyah, the former area MP in the 11th parliament.
Oulanyah who doubled as Speaker of Parliament died from Seattle, USA in March this year.
