Mufti Mubajje meets presidential adviser and head of ONC Namyalo, calls for inclusion

Mufti of Uganda Sheikh Shaban Ramathan Mubajje has appealed to the govt not to neglect Muslims in the allocation of jobs in its institutions as it has caused many government programs to go poorly due to Muslims being left behind, yet there are currently many educated and experienced Muslims that can work in govt

Mufti Mubajje was speaking at a meeting with head NRM Office of National Chairman Hajjat ​​Hadija Namyalo at the National Mosque in Kampala.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Mufti Sheikh Abudallah Ssemambo, Uganda Moslem Supreme Council Chairman Al-Hajji.Prof.Dr. Lubega Mohamad Kisambira , sheikh obed kamulegeya and among others.

Sheikh Shaban Mubajje urged the government to implement Halal Banking which will help Muslims to borrow money without interest as their religion instructs.  On the issue of parish development model they urged government to review it since government money they give out has interest which they do not agree with.

The chairman of the Uganda Moslem Supreme Council Al-hajji Lubega Mohamad Kisambira said it is time for the government to start helping Muslims by providing farming equipment including tractors, planting seeds and many more as it is doing for other religions through NAADS.

Hajjat ​​Hadija Namyalo, head of the office of national chairman, explained the reason for her visit including assessing how Muslims can benefit from government programs. 

She promised follow up on issues raised as to have them addressed.

Hajjat Namyalo handed over food items including rice, flour, sugar, cooking oil and other items for ifutali and wished them a happy fasting period
