The opposition Forum for Democratic Change FDC party has unveiled the late Cecil Barbra Atim Ogwal daughter Dr. Olwoc Rosemary Ogwal has the party flag bearer for Dokolo woman member of parliament to carry on her legacy.
While unveiling Dr. Olwoc, the FDC president Eng. Patrick Amuriat Oboi said that they reached the decision by consensus.
“Introducing Dr. Olwoc Rosemary Ogwal, the FDC candidate for the Dokolo woman MP By-election. While there were members of the party who expressed interest in contesting, the decision to support Dr. Olwoc follows discussions between the party leadership, the family of the late Hon. Cecilia Atim Ogwal, and FDC members in Dokolo. Instead of holding primary elections, the party reached a consensus among its members.
Dr. Olwoc Rosemary Ogwal is not only the daughter of Imat Cecilia Ogwal but also a candidate of exceptional quality. She has willingly sacrificed her comfort to continue the initiatives that Imat Cecilia Ogwal was deeply passionate about.” Said Amuriat
Amuriat urged the people of Lango, especially those in Dokolo, to see in Dr. Alwoc a fitting successor to the late Cecilia Ogwal.
