In the bustling city of Kampala, a significant development has unfolded in the commercial court as Lay Justice Patience Tumusiime Rubagumya ordered for a fresh hearing in the case involving Christopher Ssaazi and Godfrey Muhiirwa, setting a new date of September 2, 2024.

Godfrey Muhiirwa, a businessman, had initially paid Christopher Ssaazi, a former Yamaha dealer, Ugx105m to purchase fishing boat engines before the Covid-19 pandemic. However, Ssaazi failed to deliver the engines, and the amount grew to Ugx600m due to interest rates and compensation.
Despite efforts to resolve the matter amicably, Muhiirwa found himself seeking justice in the courts. The case had been ongoing, but the latest development marked a significant turning point.

As the news spread, Muhiirwa expressed his relief and hope for a favorable outcome. “I’ve tried to reach out to Christopher Ssaazi, but he’s been evasive. I’m confident that the court will deliver justice, and I can finally put this matter behind me.”
The fresh hearing presents an opportunity for both parties to present their cases, and the court will carefully consider the evidence before making a ruling.

Muhiirwa says the outcome of this case will have significant implications for the business community in Kampala, emphasizing the importance of honouring agreements and contracts.
As the September 2nd date approaches, all eyes will be on the commercial court, eagerly awaiting the outcome of this contentious case.
