9-Year-Old allegedly commits suicide in Nsambya Barracks

Kabalagala police is actively investigating a suicide case allegedly committed by a 9 year old boy in Nsambya barracks.

The deceased is identified as Omagor Aeron who was found hanging inside the roof of the unipot in which he was residing with other relatives.

Preliminary findings indicate that, the deceased on return from prayers, he joined other children who were playing. In the process the police received information that the deceased decided to go to the unipot, but was followed by his sister only identified as Ausi whom he sent away.

After a while her sister Ausi went back to check inside the unipot only to find Amagor hanging on a shoe less.

Luke Owoyesigyire Kampala metropolitan deputy police spokesperson said that they are yet to establish exactly what happened since the body had no signs of torture.

The body was picked by police and taken to city mortuary Mulago for postmortem as investigation into the matter continues.
