In a prophetic message to the nation, Bishop Jacinto Kibuuka urged Ugandans to remain strong and courageous amidst the challenges facing the country, especially as the 2026 general elections draw closer. Speaking at the New Year celebrations at Mamre Prayer Centre in Janda, Namugongo, Kira Municipality, Wakiso district, the Bishop emphasized the importance of trusting in God for guidance and protection during this critical period.

The congregation gathered in large numbers for the celebrations, which featured fireworks, praise, worship, and prayers for healing and deliverance. Quoting scriptures from Joshua 1:16-21 and Proverbs 3:5-6, Bishop Kibuuka called on all Ugandans, particularly those seeking political office, to take up the mantle with strength and courage, trusting in God’s wisdom and provision.

“Do not fear or be intimidated,” Bishop Kibuuka said, “for God is with you. Let those who aim for political leadership move forward with confidence, knowing that God will guide them to victory.”

The Bishop also urged Ugandans to avoid hostility and violence, emphasizing that politics should not divide the nation. He called for peaceful and respectful engagements, even when faced with challenges or disappointments.

“Let us not fight, create enmity, or resort to violence because of politics,” he stated. “Politicians, do not engage in voter rigging, incitement, or abuse of power. These are primitive practices, and we must reject them in the year ahead.”

Looking ahead to 2025, Bishop Kibuuka described the year as one of divine grace, strength, restoration, and victory, where God’s guidance will lead Ugandans to success. He reassured the faithful that God’s presence would bring supernatural provision and blessings.
