In an effort to modernize and simplify the traditional, tedious school application and admission processes, Dcode Dynamics has launched a digital, user-friendly platform www.schooladmin.co.ug. This web portal provides a centralized solution for students at all levels to apply to schools of their choice, and for schools to manage applications efficiently.
Speaking to journalists in Kampala, Emmanuel Kakaire, Team Lead at Dcode Dynamics and www.schooladmin.co.ug , explained that the innovation was inspired by the challenges faced by students and parents in physically visiting multiple schools during the application process.

“The traditional method is costly, time consuming, and energy draining. Students and parents have to travel to various districts, stand in long queues, and repeat the same process for each school. With this platform, all schools are in one place from kindergarten to university, making it easy to apply online from anywhere,” said Kakaire.
He added that the www.schooladmin.co.ug allows for real-time tracking of applications, follow-ups with schools, and timely feedback, solving major challenges students often face.
“If there’s a delay in response, we can directly engage the school on the applicant’s behalf. This smoothens the entire process, saving valuable time and resources for both students and schools.”

www.schooladmin.co.ug platform is free for schools and students to onboard. However, individual schools will still maintain their usual application fees, just as they would during physical applications.
Kakaire urged the Ministry of Education, schools, and development partners to support the initiative, highlighting the portal’s potential to bridge critical gaps in the education sector.
“Many students apply to multiple schools sometimes in far-off places like Mbarara, Gulu, Kampala, Mukono, and Luwero. It’s exhausting and expensive. This portal eliminates the need for all that travel, making applications centralized and seamless.”
Kakaire also called for more government and private sector support to enable local innovators to thrive. He emphasized the challenges innovators face, including lack of funding, limited capacity, and emotional burnout.
“Many young people have great ideas but don’t know how to scale them. They need help with writing proposals, forming partnerships, and receiving mentorship. Most innovators are forced to abandon their ideas due to daily survival needs. With the right support, these innovations can benefit communities, boost the economy, and transform lives.”
To address concerns over user data, Kakaire assured the public that robust encryption and data protection measures are in place to ensure the security and privacy of all users on the platform www.schooladmin.co.ug .
