Museveni Pledges New Roads, Lake George Ferry, and Farmer Support at Ibanda NRM Rally

National Resistance Movement (NRM) Presidential Candidate, General Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, has assured residents of Ibanda District of increased infrastructure development, including the construction of the Kagongo–Kabujojera–Kamwenge Road and maintenance of several key routes linking the district to surrounding areas and beyond.

Speaking during the NRM presidential campaign rally in Ibanda, Gen. Museveni also announced plans to deploy a ferry on Lake George to ease transportation and strengthen connectivity for communities in and around Ibanda District.

The NRM presidential candidate further promised enhanced support for coffee farmers, pledging coffee dryers, improved seedlings, and expanded financing through government socio-economic empowerment programs to boost productivity and household incomes.

Gen. Museveni guided residents on sustainable wealth-creation strategies, emphasizing the Four-Acre Model and other profitable enterprises that households can adopt to accelerate economic transformation. He shared practical success stories, encouraging the people of Ibanda to emulate proven creators and innovators.

He also highlighted the various job opportunities created by the NRM government across multiple sectors as part of ongoing national development efforts.

During the rally, the First Daughter, Pastor Patience Rwabogo, prayed for continued harmony in the country during and after the election period, urging Ugandans to uphold peace and unity.

Ibanda NRM Chairperson Jovrine Kaliisa Kyomukama presented the district status report, outlining key achievements and development priorities.
