Hundreds of guests gathered at Kiragga Village in Kalungu District as BBS Terefayina’s Chief Editor, Peter Muweesi, was officially introduced by his longtime partner, Shakira.
The colorful ceremony attracted several journalists and media personalities from various radio and television stations. The media delegation was led by CBS FM’s Wamala Balunabba.
The function was also graced by a number of dignitaries, including the Kabaka’s Chief of Buddu County, Pokino Jude Muleke; Hon. Kiruruuta Yusuf Nkeretanyi, Member of Parliament for Kalungu East; Hon. Teddy Nambooze of Mpigi District; Rashid Lukwago, Youth Representative in the Buganda Cabinet; and Ssentogo Fredrick Lugonvu, proprietor of Hill View Primary School Matanga, the only school on international standard in Masaka among others.
The event marked a memorable milestone in Peter and Shakira’s relationship, as family members, relatives, and friends gathered to celebrate their love and commitment.
Shakira stunned guests in a series of traditional outfits, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of Buganda. The ceremony was deeply rooted in tradition, with Buganda cultural values clearly taking center stage throughout the function.
In her remarks, Shakira pledged everlasting love to Peter and thanked him for being the man of her dreams.
