Journalist Racheal Namuli Elected Women Chairperson for Mpala Cell

BBS Terefayina and Trusted News Uganda journalist Racheal Namuli Nakabugo has been declared the newly elected Chairperson for Women in Mpala Cell, Katabi Town Council, Entebbe Municipality, Wakiso District, following the conclusion of the local election.

Nakabugo emerged victorious after defeating the National Resistance Movement (NRM) flag bearer, Boona Nabulya Justine, by a margin of 54 votes to 30.

The results were announced after vote counting, confirming Nakabugo’s win and marking a significant milestone in the local leadership contest. Supporters welcomed the outcome, expressing confidence that the newly elected chairperson will represent the interests of women in Mpala Cell and work to address community concerns.

Nakabugo is expected to begin serving in her new leadership role as preparations are made for the transition following the election results.
