Iganga Endorses Muhoozi Kainerugaba For 2031 Presidency

By Yusuf Obbo

IGANGA: Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) supporters in Iganga have endorsed General Muhoozi Kainerugaba for Uganda’s presidency in 2031, as the organisation continues its nationwide mobilisation and collection of endorsements in support of his political bid.

The Iganga endorsement event was attended by Hon. Sanjay Tanna, Minister of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives, who called on PLU grassroots coordinators to maintain discipline and properly communicate the organisation’s message as they mobilise support for Kainerugaba.

“In PLU we consider discipline as our major factor, therefore as we set off our grassroot Codinators teams we ask them to use friendly language and discipline to our supporters “

He also urged the coordinators to package well information to give the public reminding them of where Uganda has come from to where it is asking the public to consider the many good things achieved under President Museveni’s government

Sanjah says nothing big Ugandans can offer President Museveni for his fight for a better Uganda than protecting what has been done under his regime

The coordinators used the meeting to present some of the challenges affecting the Busoga region, with youth unemployment featuring prominently among their concerns.

They appealed to the government to support the establishment of an industrial park in the region, saying factories could create employment opportunities for thousands of young people and contribute to economic development.

Tanna said he would support efforts aimed at addressing the concerns raised and encouraged the coordinators to identify and secure suitable land where government could support the establishment of factories and other industrial activities.

As part of the mobilisation exercise, village-level PLU coordinators were provided with endorsement register books where members can sign in support of General Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s proposed presidential bid in 2031.

The exercise forms part of PLU’s wider nationwide campaign to collect endorsements for Kainerugaba ahead of the 2031 presidential election. PLU has been distributing physical endorsement books through its structures across the country.

Hajji ojasi Swaibu one of the Codinator’s leaders in Iganga has offered free office to act of PLU home in Iganga ,where most of the activities are taking place

Ojasi said Muhoozi is their hope to a better and secure uganda and many Ugandans can witness this through his fight against corrupt officials

The Iganga coordinators said they would take the mobilisation exercise to grassroots communities while also continuing to raise local economic and social concerns with government leaders.

The development adds Iganga to a growing list of areas where PLU supporters and leaders are publicly endorsing Kainerugaba ahead of the 2031 election.
