Speaker Anita Among has on Wednesday morning held talks with the Speaker of the Parliament of Malaysia, Rt. Hon Johari Abdul.
Speaker Among said Uganda looks forward to deepening investment cooperation with Malaysia, and to deepen bilateral relations between the two Parliaments.
Speaker Johari said the East and Africa cooperation is what will drive creation of opportunities for the emerging population and also lay strong claim to the future of the 21st century.
Speaker Johari also offered to interest Malaysian investors into Uganda’s agriculture sector.
The two met ahead of the 27th Conference of Speakers and Presiding Officers (CSPOC) which officially commences Thursday..
