Omusomesa Tomusange who is also a staunch National Unity Platform NUP supporter and mobilizer says his motivation to join politics is the need to actively contribute to the development of the country since it has been poorly managed at all levels but more so people in the rural areas have been left out in all aspects of development.
He gave an example of Mityana District which is just 71 Kilometers away from Kampala capital city asserting that it has been poorly managed especially in Mityana North Constituency saying that the cost of living is very high with no access to good schools and healthy facilities which forced him to start schools since residents of Mugoye and the nearby village had to walk about 10 kilometer to access a secondary school which put the lives of the students especially the girls at high risks. He also donated an ambulance to enable easy to transport to better health facility in the nearby areas. He added that farmers are exploited, they have poor road network and the number of land grabbers is alarming.

Tomusange says he has put more efforts in supporting the residents especially the women through their SACCOs to enable them get their everyday needs and fulfil their obligation to their family. He says he does all the above because National Resistance Movement government neglects its responsibilities with an intention of making people poorer.
Tomusange also revealed that he wants to awaken the people of Mityana North to stand and fight for their rights and demand for better and deserving service delivery, a reason he wants to oust the sitting area MP come 2026 with trust from the people and God’s will. He wants to use the position to further amplify the voices of the residents and the oppressed country men and women to rescue the country from those who he says captured and keep killing it night and day.
