Apostle Grace Lubega of Phaneroo Ministries International announced a 40-day fasting special period for the year 2025, calling on believers to repent and seek God’s blessings. This spiritual exercise is aimed at fostering a deeper connection with God, promoting personal reflection, and seeking divine guidance for the new year 2025
According to Pastor Lubega, the 40-day fasting period is significant, as it represents a period of spiritual renewal and preparation commencing this month (January). Speaking to a packed congregation at the Phaneroo Ministries International Grounds Naguru in Nakawa division, Kampala during a night of prayer on 31st/12/2024, Apostle Grace Lubega began expressing gratitude to God for His faithfulness and goodness throughout the year. He acknowledged the challenges and triumphs experienced by the country, emphasizing the importance of perseverance and trust in God’s sovereignty.
Apostle Lubega emphasized that fasting is a powerful tool for seeking God’s presence, wisdom, and intervention in one’s life. During this period, participants will be encouraged to dedicate themselves to intense prayer, meditation, and self-reflection. They will also be guided through a series of spiritual exercises, including scripture reading, journaling, and worship.
He also emphasized the need for believers to be salt and light in their communities, making a positive impact on those around them. He encouraged the congregation to remain committed to their faith, even in the face of adversity, and to continue shining as beacons of hope and love.
Apostle Lubega expressed his conviction that this 40-day fasting period will bring about a transformative experience for all participants. He believes that as believers seek God’s face, they will experience a renewed sense of purpose, clarity, and direction for the year 2025, labelling it the year of the blessing of the holy spirit
“Loving Father, You are good, and by Your endless mercies, we were sustained through the last cycle. Thank You for the blessing of Your Holy Spirit, the greatest teacher. We submit our lives to His instruction in divine wisdom, humbly yielding to His leading for direction in every aspect of life. Hallelujah, Amen,” Apostle Lubega said.
As he looked back on 2024, Pastor Lubega highlighted several key themes that emerged during the year. He spoke about the importance of spiritual growth, faith, and obedience, emphasizing that these values are essential for navigating life’s challenges and fulfilling God’s purpose.
For the year 2025, Apostle Lubega shared a powerful vision for the church and its members. He spoke about the need for spiritual awakening, revival, and reformation, emphasizing that these are essential for transforming lives, communities, and nations.
