The Wakiso Chief Magistrate’s Court has charged three individuals with multiple offences, including forcible entry into land, malicious damage to property, unlawful eviction of bona fide occupants, destruction of growing plants, and theft.

The accused — Ssejjombwe Ibrahim, Kyeyune Allan, and Musoke Joseph pleaded not guilty to all charges. With investigations still ongoing, the trio has been remanded to prison until November 19, 2025.
According to the prosecution, between January and October 2025, the accused, together with others still at large, allegedly mobilized a group of people armed with pangas and sticks and violently invaded land located at Bukasa, Wakiso District — registered as Block 314, Plot 846, Busiro — which belongs to Dr. Paul Biriibwa and Peter Biriibwa.

During the invasion, the group is said to have demolished several structures, including workers’ houses, animal shelters, a perimeter wall, water tanks, and a 40-foot container. They also allegedly destroyed trees, coffee and banana plantations, solar systems, and security cameras.
Prosecutors further contend that the accused lacked any proof of lawful ownership or occupancy of the land, despite claiming to be bibanja holders. The complainants reportedly hold a valid land title dating back to 2001 and have been in uninterrupted possession for over two decades.
The alleged acts were carried out without any court order, the court heard.
