Ugandan Reggae Ambassador Dj Dan Starboy, laid off on TV

Celebrated reggae and & Dancehall DJ , DJ Dan Starboy becomes the second reggae DJ laid off UBC TV without any reason following Dj KrysKross & Dj Trix Souljah , Dj Dan Starboy who had mastered the game of playing reggae music on Uganda’s National Television.

He was laid off last Friday, when contacted, DJ Dan StarBoy said “ I have no idea why i have been laid off yet I have served Ugandans and also inspired youths to always work with what they have till they get what they want. Being the first Ugandan DJ to be awarded two Jamaican keys to the city in just 2years is enough for me and I thank my producer Farcool for the platform & My Manager Peter Otai And also the whole Magic100fm Staff”

  1. Niwandinda Daniel A.K.A Dj Dan Starboy was born in Kihihi Village , Kanungu District  in western Uganda to Ayebale Judith & Tumusiime a UPDF Solider 
  2. He joined Ugandan music industry in 2016 on 103.4 Juice Fm the radio that was owned by Red Papper late changed to 103.3 radio 4
  3. He joined Uganda National broadcasting UBC in 2018 September Under Magic100fm As Dj Later Producer Till Now 
  4. He Holds a Diploma In Journalism & Media Students from Makerere 2021
  5. He is the last Radio Dj to Host The legendary Reggae icon Bunny Willer who passed on 2 March 2021 
  6. He is the first Ugandan Dj / Presenter to Host Grammy award winner  Musicians like  ,Morgan Heritage family and Other Historical Musicians Like Glen Washington Hit maker Of Sweet Jamaica , I can recall ,cant you see in 2000 & Singing Melody — want You Back a Hit song in 1999
  7. He is the Most Creative & Ranked DJ by Google as a Primary source Of Reggae & Dancehall Music In Uganda
