The National Resistance Movement (NRM) treasurer Hon. Rose Namayanja has praised door to door campaign strategy has the best and most effective way to comb for votes.
last week the NRM District Executive Committee (DEC) members commenced door-to-door campaigns in their villages together with the village committee. The DEC members are supposed to constitute teams among the village members.
“Based on the results from the field, the door-to-door strategy is very supportive and I doubt if there is any party that has the same organizational capacity as the NRM. That is why to us, rallies are not the only ways of campaigning and it’s not by accident that we choose the village-based mobilization strategy,” Hon. Namayanja said.
In the same way Namayanja revealed that party secretary general Justine Kasule Lumumba together with a number of party officials tested positive for Covid 19.
“It’s a pity that some of our top management tested positive for COVID-19 including the secretary General, Justine Kasule Lumumba.” Said Namayanja.
She also called on medical practitioners in the country to reach out to more masses and also educate people about what they should do after they test positive of Cocid-19. “Many people who test positive don’t know what to do after. I call out to the Ministry of Health to elaborate more what should be done when people test positive since not everyone can now access medical services,” she said, adding:
Mrs. Namayanja also sent condolences to the Muslim fraternity, as well as the family of Sheikh Nuhu Muzata who died on Friday last week. “This country has lost a very influential person and he will surely be missed by many,” she said.
Meanwhile Namayanja said they are set to start their campaign trail in Western Uganda after concluding with the Northern and Eastern regions.
