Zebra Ssenyange was killed by security – president M7 confirms

Uganda’s president H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has on Thursday evening confirmed that former National boxing team Skipper and Uganda Boxing Federation in charge general duties Isaac Zebra Ssenyange alias Mando was killed by security personells in police uniform.

Museveni said when he heard of Zebra’s murder, he telephoned the wife to the late who narrated how events unfolded which narrated corresponded with the investigating security team.

“When I heard of the unfortunate death of Isaac Ssenyange alias Mando Zebra, Uganda’s boxer and former captain of the Bombers. I telephoned his wife who narrated to me the events in detail.

Zebra’s wife told me people in police uniform came to pick Zebra but he jumped over the wall and could have met another group who shot him.

At first I thought they were thugs disguising in uniform, but as I continued investigations, I found out that Zebra was killed by security personnel.

This is sad and devastating and I AM VERY SORRY about this. I will keep on this case and will bring every finding to the knowledge of his family and the murderers will be dealt with accordingly.  I AM SO SORRY.” said Museveni

Museveni said Zebra was an NRM supporter, and was mobilising for it so well as well as training many youth in the ghetto and giving them hope in their search for meaningful life.

He confirmed that indeed, Zebra was meant to meet him when he was killed.

Zebra Mando, 39, met his death in a rather gruesome manner when security personells attacked his family based in Bwaise (near Eden Service Park), a Kampala city suburbs and ended up murdering him.
