The winner of the 11th January 2021 Youth councilor elections in Namugongo, Nabukalu Phiona is calling on the NRM party executive to support her meet her huge medical bills.
Nabukalu aged 29 was seriously beaten by unknown people on the day of her election after she was declared winner hence sustaining serious head, ear, eye injuries which led to paralyzing of her left side of the body.
Narrating her ordeal, Nabukalu said she went into coma for over a week and after her gaining her conscious back she was discharged.
On the fateful day of the incident, Nabukalu said she had joined her friends at Zebra point for the tea party in celebration of her win as a female councilor for Namugongo but satan joined in hence bringing in sadness before the jubilations ended.
Nabukalu and her parents Margret and Henry Serunjoji who also happens to be the chairman LC1 Namugongo Nsawo zone and the chairman Luwero triangle civilian war veterans in Namugongo they have called out for help since they can no longer manage the medical bill.
The parents say they have so far spent close to UGX.4M treating their daughter to regain her conscious however her full recovery requires at least UGX.37M for her to recover fully which money they cannot afford.
Nabukalu contested on the NRM ticket and will be serving her second term as female youth councilor for Namugongo.
